Zero and first conditionals
Comic book activity
Personal reflection
This task was interesting because it allowed us to learn about the conditional zero and one, although relating the two was difficult because this exist in Spanish, but in English it is different and confusing for me. During the development of this topic, I learned that the zero conditional is used to talk about real situations or scientific facts, and first conditional is used to talk about situations that are likely to happen as well as to express future plans, threats or promises. The difference between the two is that in the zero conditional the result always goes with the simple present and in the conditional, it always goes with the simple future (will).
Zero conditional:
Estructure: If + subject + present simple+verb, subject + present simple+verb
Condition Result
Example: If you leave the water on the fire for too long, it evaporates
If you don't listen to me, I'm out of here
First Conditional:
Estructure: If + Subject + Present Simple+ verb, Subject + Future Simple (will)+ verb
Condition Result
Example: If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we will come to visit you
If I don't have to work on the weekend, we'll go for a walk.
I liked
this topic even though it confused me
